And the Sun did Rise

Description

Lately, or maybe I should say this year, I have felt like Mother Nature has had it out for me. From this winter when I had a little accident that resulted in a fractured Tibia head that bleed/swelled up my knee; and with my knee ligaments overly stretched with warning of a surgery that (thank goodness) never happened. Four Months later (after physical (should say pain instead) Therapy) I finally am able to stand, walk, use both of my knees and return to my (3-4day rotation a week) standing all day 12hr night shift job...and with all the lovely rain and weather changes...it seems that not only do I have to be careful about how hard I work my knee at work but I must also take into consideration that Mother Nature's low pressure hurts like hell and that I should be grateful that it could have been worse....

So seeing a sunny day appear on my days off brings me alot of joy. It means that I get to go for my bike rides, walk my dogs at the park and be lazy if I want to...scratch that, when my knee says it's time to relax for a bit I kindof half to listen to it....but the sunny sky makes me happy though.

The girl in this drawing definitely has the same attitude as you, GreenAngel5! She's greeting the sun with a warmth and happines... a great deal of grattitude. I can only imagine what the great outdoors looks like where you live, Green. The vast variety and forms of wildlife and nature that I've seen throughout your drawings speaks to a great deal of experience and intimacy with nature. By way of contrast, my own landscapes lean far too heavily on pine trees, lol! Sweating a little... Further, perhaps it's my imagination, but the details you've included give a nice homey touch: I love the trailing flaps off of her parasol, and the beads around her ankle are an interesting touch, too. At first, I thought perhaps this was an older version of Baloon girl, but ended up thinking otherwise. After all, where are her balloons? xD

Well, I most certainly would offer my congratulations on having healed from your injury, but as this is an older work, I do believe you've had quite a good deal of time for it to heal, haha! I actually came to this image from your profile, however, so at first thought that maybe you had recently fractured your tibia. I'm glad it's only an older injury.

Details aside, the warmth of this image shines straight through the monitor. It fills me with joy. Hug
